First, a site selection study is conducted and upon selection of a site, an agricultural feasibility study and engineering report is conducted to establish the infrastructure improvements needed for that site. These studies and reports determine lot size, uses and infrastructure needs of the Agricultural Park together with any other requirements needed to conform to County, State or Federal regulations. Occasionally, specific environmental requirements may limit uses and/or set special lease conditions. Each agricultural park subdivision must meet the requirements of Chapter 343, Hawaii Revised Statutes, which require neither an environmental assessment with Findings of No Significant Impact (FOSNI) nor an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). |
